Book review: Palace of Illusions

The Palace of Illusions by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

It’s been on my TBR list for long. A few years. And I finally laid my hands on it.
I had a tough time putting it down. With an extremely busy schedule, my addiction to reading a few pages every night is what kept me going.
The story is what I have heard and read from my childhood. Yet the story telling was so gripping, so fascinating that I wanted to read more, delve a little deeper.
If I admired Draupadi earlier, I just fell in love with Panchali. If I loved Krishna earlier, I just gave him my whole hearted attention.
The characterization was strong and impactful. The pain and pleasure of each one duly brought to life and justified.
Highly recommended to anyone who loves the Mahabharata and enjoys a story well narrated.
@divakarunichitra , I am a fan!
