Top 3 winners: Prompt High

Look at the stars twinkle high,
Far away from this world
Filling the universe as they lie –
Benevolent, as I tossed and twirled!
Radiating peace, a glimmer of hope;
My soul, restlessly swirled –
Cradled in the boughs,
That He spun a web gently unfurled!

Mirror mirror on the wall,
Till date you stand mighty tall;
Lording over empty space-
Men and women, full of grace!
An illusion you do share
Reflecting the truth bitter and bare!
Some joyous, beam with delight,
Some, shake frightfully with their might!

Ray of Hope

Darkness lurks everywhere,
Mantle of disease Earth wears,
Cries of pain rising like flames,
Engulf man’s mind with bodies enflamed!
Yet, as one looks at another,
A hand reaches out:
Eyes filled with tenderness,
A ray of light pierces, to caress-
Soothing balm of Hope it spreads!

Behind closed doors, lies a world
Not visible to you, me or any from the fold
Moments in private of love untold
Or passions unleashed as they unfold;
Sometimes we hear whispers like caresses,
Sometimes we hear sobbing and tears
From morning to night laughter n gurgles lurk
Waiting to pounce where tears strike!

I placed a little red,
Then a little blue,
On my pencil a moment I did chew!
As I wondered what I next wanted to-
For the colors of Love
Drenched me from above
From my crown to teeny toe,
Joy, Love and Bliss seep into every pore!

As the night crawls

Oozing out of every crevice, every crack

They march out on their stomach or back

Of every shape and every mack

Golden, chestnut, brown, or black

Extending tentacles to explore every cranny every crack

Greedily guzzling every grain n sack

Till they come under Hit’s attack!
