Strangers!

Rhea went crashing down! For a moment she was wondering ” What the hell happened?” Before she realised she was all sprawled out on the steps leading into her favourite coffee shop.Muttering and blustering she gathered her handbag, her sunglasses and herself. That’s when she heard the deep, husky voice apologising profusely and enquiring if she was fine. She looked up into the dark limpid pools of the most delightful honey brown eyes. Well, she could probably excuse those eyes………

“I am extremely sorry! I should have been more careful, I hope you are not hurt. Are you Ok?” “May I help you up?” ” Although I don’t deserve to be, but I hope you will forgive me……… Rhea!”

She raised her arm to be pulled up muttering, ” Do we know each other? Have we met before?”

“No! I don’t think so.”

“Then how do you know my name?”

“Look, Can I make this upto you? Shall we have some coffee?”

Before she could think of anything to say, getting over her confusion about how did the crash occur, Rhea found herself moving in, and going towards an empty table. By now she had recovered her composure and realised she was fine. Turning her attention on her companion, she saw a well dressed, neat young man in his early thirties. Good looking, if you liked the rugged, strong types. Not bad………

After placing their orders, Varun introduced himself: ” Hi, I am Varun!”

” You already know it, I am Rhea!” Sipping on their coffee they found themselves dragged into an interesting conversation, discussing movies. They seemed to like the same kind …… science fiction! For a pretty girl who looked dainty to boot Rhea loved action, thrilling scenes and no amount of gore put her off. As they got up to go, exchanging phone numbers and promising to watch a movie over the weekend Rhea couldn’t resist asking him, ” but how did you know my name?”

He looked into her beautiful black eyes, smiled and said, ” Its on your locket!”

Everyone turned to see where the mirthful laughter was coming from!
